I woke up
From insomnia
Too quickly
To see a picture
Of an Australian sunset
The clouds
Were ribbons of rolling
Caramel falling
Down to a street
Of mirrored butter
And palm trees along the road
It calmed me right away
Diatribes of clouded skies
Like my too awake thoughts
A beautiful early morning wrinkle
To be followed
By fresh coffee
And a secret smile
In the cerulean sky
This is my reason
To start my chapter new
Sweet and surrendering
