Pennies
in a jar
what are
We really
saving for?
Smiles on
our face
is but
our ship
Turned around
Ain’t coming back
it swells
in the sound
under the ground
this star
falls on my skin
trying to get in
it's all about
the time we spend
could it be that the lines
on my face
outweigh my smile?
I got my foot
on the ladder
and then climbing
up to the moon
I hold your hand
and watch
as the sky
closes in
the edges
of the tide
Play mischievously
Through a branch
Of the tree
See through
This winter disguise
Freefalling
Lost in
The focus
Reality blurs
maybe I felt
it something to
keep me here
but it's all narrow
The edge
Of a curl
under those
Narrows and cobblestone
streets staring into
Overwhelming space
