Medusa’s Kitchen

 Fresh faced morning

Unpatterned caffeine bird song

From my bedroom window

    ~ ~ ~

Still calming

Sharpening pencils

Maddening world

`    ~ ~ ~

Wide eyed

Hiding from the sun

Wanting to be seen

Portrait frames

Hug the curves

Of windows

    ~ ~ ~

Crescent moon

Bent to the shape

Of the cold

    ~ ~ ~

Portrait frames

Hug the curve of the window

Their watching eyes

Sweet grasses

Starling murmuration

At sunset

    ~ ~ ~

It’s a tea light

Kind of night

Pink layers melting red

    ~ ~ ~

Most of the time

Half finished

Moons lullaby

    ~ ~ ~

Gladdens my heart

Sweet almond tea

Shadows lengthen
