What Lingers
By Sarah Mahina Calvello
Memories
Moonbeams
Circling azure sky
Wild abandonment
Of a heart left behind
Trying to collect more good
Wild Dream
Magic madness rains
There’s a wildness inside
Wet and new
Full of possibilities
New smells of flowers
Honey and saffron
The sky’s shelled colors unfold
One more wild dream
Spring moon lantern
Illuminated halo
Deep blue starless night
Sapphire and waiting
Years flow like water
Soft purple heather
Sashay in the breeze
Leftover wishes remain
The sweetest echo
Under the milky white moon
